Chris Haggard

USA  standard Ambassador

I was a professional tennis player for 15 years on the ATP Tour. I am from a small town outside of Durban in South Africa, and I first came to the United States in 1990 to play for Auburn University in Montgomery, Alabama. I later transferred to the University of Tennessee in Memphis and played for the Vols, where I was named All-American in both singles and doubles. I began my professional tennis career in 1993.

I excelled in doubles, reaching a career high world ranking of #19. I won seven ATP titles, made it to the semi-finals of the Australian Open, quarterfinals of the US Open and Wimbledon, and maintained a world ranking in the top 50 for ten straight years. I have wins (and losses!) over renowned players such as the Bryan Brothers, Novak Djokovic, Andy Roddick, Leander Paes, Patrick Rafter, Leyton Hewitt, and Marat Safin.

These days I live and teach tennis full-time in Austin, Texas. I coach the Junior Tennis Academy at Grey Rock Golf & Tennis Club and give private lessons at Grey Rock and elsewhere around Austin.

I am excited to be a part of the growing Snauwaert community! I will lend my expertise on the product line and can make demo racquets available for adult and junior players that are interested in trying them out. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or to schedule a demo pickup. I am on and off the court throughout the day, so please send a text or email to 512.797.0191 or and I will respond within 24 hours.
